Who this notice is for
This notice covers the Martyanoff Studio public website and project inquiries. “We”, “us” and “our” refer to Martyanoff Studio. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email [email protected]. Client project data may also be covered by a separate service agreement or data processing agreement.
The website serves business customers, including visitors in Canada, the United States, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. Your rights depend on the laws that apply to your circumstances.
Information we collect
When you submit a project inquiry, we collect your name and email address. You may also provide a company name, website address, industry and project description. We record which website form the inquiry came from. We also receive information you send in subsequent correspondence.
Our hosting and network systems may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, requested URL, browser information, request time and response status. These technical details are not additional fields in the project inquiry record.
Please provide only information needed to discuss your project. Do not send passwords, payment card details, government identifiers, health information or other sensitive personal data through the inquiry form. If you provide another person’s information, ensure you are entitled to do so and share this notice with them.
Why we use information
We use inquiry details to answer questions, understand your requirements, prepare proposals and manage business correspondence. Where EU or UK data protection law applies, the basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract with you, or performing that contract. When you contact us on behalf of a business, we rely on our legitimate interest in communicating with that business and evaluating a potential engagement.
We may rely on legitimate interests to keep the website secure, prevent misuse, maintain essential service records and establish or defend legal claims. We balance those interests against your rights. Where applicable, we also process information to meet legal obligations.
The form checkbox asks you to accept the website terms and acknowledge this privacy notice; it is not consent to marketing. Submitting an inquiry does not subscribe you to a mailing list. If we introduce processing that requires consent, we will request it separately and explain how to withdraw it. We do not make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you.
How long we keep information
Our policy is to delete inquiries that do not become client projects six months after the last communication. This is a manual administrative process, not an automatic expiry in the form. If you become a client, necessary project, contractual and accounting records are handled separately for the period needed to deliver the service, meet legal duties and resolve claims.
Retention of technical records depends on their security and operational purpose. Information subject to a legal preservation requirement may be kept longer. Backup copies may persist until the applicable backup rotation removes them; access remains restricted. You can ask us about retention for your particular inquiry.
International processing
Communicating with a studio or using infrastructure outside your country may involve international processing. Do not assume information is stored exclusively in your country or in the EU or UK. Contact [email protected] for information about the locations and providers relevant to your inquiry.
Where EU or UK transfer rules apply, transfers requiring safeguards must use a valid legal mechanism, such as an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards, with additional measures where required. You can request information about the relevant safeguards.
Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, including on grounds relating to your particular situation. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Email [email protected] with your request and enough information to identify the relevant correspondence. We may request proportionate verification to protect your information; do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are necessary. Some rights have exceptions, including where records must be retained by law or for legal claims.
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we normally respond within one month; if a permitted extension is needed, we will explain it within that period. You may complain to your local EEA supervisory authority or the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Contacting us first is optional.
United States privacy information
The categories of information, sources, purposes and recipients are described above. We collect identifiers and contact details directly from you, business and inquiry information you choose to provide, and technical internet activity information through operation of the website. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
Where a US state privacy law applies to us and to your request, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your information, and to opt out of sale, targeted advertising, sharing or certain profiling. California rights under the CCPA apply only where its legal applicability requirements are met. We do not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Advertising integrations and remarketing are not currently active. An advertising preference alone does not activate tracking. Global Privacy Control signals do not enable any tracking. We do not track visitors across third-party sites or change our practices in response to older Do Not Track signals. You or an authorised agent may contact [email protected]; we may verify identity and authority. If an applicable state law provides an appeal, reply to our decision requesting review. We respond within the period required by the applicable law.
Security, children and external websites
We use access controls and other measures appropriate to the information and service. No website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please report suspected misuse or a security concern to [email protected].
This is a business website intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.
Portfolio and other external links take you to independent websites. Their operators are responsible for their own privacy practices. Local portfolio previews do not embed those websites or their trackers.
Changes to this notice
We update this notice when our practices or legal requirements change and show the revision date on this page. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before introducing a new use. Review the Cookie Policy for browser storage details.
